If Off-White, “The Ten”, Virgil Abloh are not common to you now, where have you been? Virgil Abloh, creative designer/founder of Off-White, and Nike have put together a capsule of ten classic Nike silhouettes, deconstructing each one with a unique, sketchy feel rarely seen in the clean cut sneaker community. Accompanying this release, Nike campuses have been popping up in major cities around the world, offering a chance for people to get involved in a variety of workshops and get their hands on a pair before they officially release in November. Individuals had the opportunity to attend talks with the man himself, Virgil Abloh, or to even have a go at curating their own Air Force 1.

Fortunately, I managed to secure a spot on the Physical Education class which involved a “Culture Run” that linked to the revolutionary running shoe, the “Nike Zoom VaporFly”. DJ Skinny Macho was the model for Off-White pair, as he lead the run alongside two Nike athletes. The run began at  Shoreditch and ended at the Tate Modern. After a brief tour of some of the most important pieces on show at the Tate, the race was on to get back to NikeLab and get your hands on a pair.

All in all, it was a great event for the culture of sneakers heads and I was lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of this history. Check a look at what I picked up below.
